The  beautiful lush garden, a haven for birds and full of tropical flowers,has a salt water swimming pool and plenty of quaint corners for you to sit and relax.

Every morning we serve a delicious breakfast on our patio with daily changing homemade surprises as well as a full breakfast made with local products.

With only 4 rooms, Babette is the smallest Bed and Breakfast in Swellendam. We have three garden cottages and one romantic room with a view. We offer you personalized service to make every stay an individual and unforgettable experience. 

Our house and cottages were built 20 years ago in French style and are full of lovely details, such as beams made from the wood of local bluegum trees, robust stone floors, and re-used materials from ancient buildings.  

We are located in the old heart of Swellendam, close to the church and museum and within walking distance from restaurants, terraces and coffee spots.

Nicky und Wim sind sehr nette Gastgeber und geben gerne Tipps für Ausflüge & Restaurants. Das Frühstück wird auf der Terrasse mit Blick auf den wunderschönen Garten zubereitet und ist sehr lecker! "Twee nachtjes in een paradijsje. Prachtige grote groene tuin, de meest zalige cruesli bij het ontbijt, kleinschalig en dus persoonlijk, en ontzettende vriendelijke hulpvaardige eigenaren. Ook nog eens goede toprestaurants in de buurt. Een aanrader !"
